| Service Details | Provides multi-disciplinary assessment services for children with complex developmental conditions * offers services to children living in the Interior Health Service Area and children who have been referred and waitlisted for Sunny Hill in Vancouver and who have been redirected to IHCAN |

| Eligibility | 19 years and under * Children being referred must have significant impairment in a number of domains of functioning, including development and learning, mental health, adaptive and social skills, and/or biomarkers such as prenatal substance exposure * Three assessment streams: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Complex Child and Youth (CCY) |
| How to Apply | Referral from a pediatrician or child psychiatrist is preferred, however a family practice physician may make a referral to IHCAN in exceptional circumstances where a community has no access to specialists * Please note that this new referral route is specific to the ASD, FASD and CCY assessment-only services which are provided through Interior Health under this new integrated initiative and does not replace or change other types of referrals to SunnyHill or BC Children’s Hospital, or for children’s intervention and support services that you are accustomed to making to local child development centres or other agencies |
