| Description | CRIS provides individuals living with a disability the opportunity to enjoy all the outdoor sport & recreation in the Okanagan offers. A year-round service provider, CRIS summer programs offer fully guided and supported opportunities that include cycling (and mountain biking), hiking (both walker assisted and Trail Rider), and paddling (kayak, SUP and canoe), while winter programs offer Sherpa hiking, Nordic (Xcountry) skiing and snowshoeing. CRIS trained volunteers and staff ensure a great opportunity get outside, get social and improve mental health & wellness through "active for life" approaches. Any age, any ability, any background, CRIS offers inclusive and accessible programs in single day, multi-week and custom programs. Join us in the great outdoors today throughout the Okanagan launching boats from a beach, peddling a pathways, riding a rustic trail, hiking in our amazing forests to that amazing lookout or in the sunny snow-covered trails of a local Nordic centre. |
