Description & Services
Service Details | - Provides direct service to adults with brain injury and their families through support and education - Strong focus on injury prevention initiatives with a specific focus on targeting youth who are at the highest risk of injury, including a helmet program for low income families with children/youth - Support services include pre-employment, health maintenance, education, financial management, compensatory strategy development, advocacy, and caregiver support - Support services are provided on a one-to-one basis or in a group format - Counselling for clients and caregivers including youth specific counselling (ages 16 through 24) - Rapid access counselling services for existing clientele in crisis - Crime Prevention and Reduction program to support individuals with brain injury involved in the criminal justice system - Cognitive Rehabilitation - Provide specialized support for domestic abuse survivors with brain injury or concussion (in partner with the Kelowna Women's Shelter) |
