Service Details - Offers a specialized inpatient program for youth ages 12-17 struggling with significant psychiatric symptoms such as psychosis, mood disorders, or anxiety disorders that require an extended stay for assessment and treatment planning 
- Evaluations are carried out by multidisciplinary team and require the active participation of the patient, their family and community mental health support services 
- Goal is to complete comprehensive assessment, initiate and provide treatment planning and provide recommendations for follow-up
Hours - Program runs seven days per week 
- Length of stay varies between 10 days to several weeks
Eligibility Ages: 12 year(s) - 17 year(s) 
 
- Resident of Interior Health region 
- Significant psychiatric symptoms beyond assessment or treatment scope of community resources 
- Must have completed a recent psychiatric assessment 
 
Exclusions: Youth with primary diagnosis of substance abuse, eating disorder, conduct disorder, or developmental disorder with no other psychiatric symptoms
How to Apply All admissions are REFERRAL ONLY by Ministry of Children and Family Development - Child and Youth Mental Health Clinicians, Psychiatrists with support of local CYMH services, and Interior Health - Mental Health and Youth Substance Addictions Clinicians
