| Service Details | We provide the Transportation Service as a way to assist Peachland residents to maintain their independence and stay in their own homes for as long as possible. Volunteer drivers are the heart of this program and use their own vehicle to help people get to medical appointments, grocery shopping or activities that encourage social engagement at PWC. | Eligibility | This service is transportation only. Volunteers cannot accompany participants to appointments or meetings.The PWC Transportation program does not replace emergency services. Our drivers are volunteers giving of their own time. There is no charge for this service but a suggested donation is asked for to cover the cost of fuel etc. of the volunteers who drive. Other costs incurred are your responsibility, such as parking fees. |
| How to Apply | Contact PWC to be registered in the program, at least 48 hrs prior the ride you need. |
