| Service Details | - The KGH Foundation is a volunteer-based organization who own the Royal Bistro (hospital deli), The Parking Lot (hospital coffee kiosk), Centennial Mercantile (hospital gift shop), Rutland Thrift Store which are volunteer operated and whose revenue is used to purchase state of the art medical equipment and services that enhance patients care and comfort at KGH and within the Community of Kelowna. JoeAnnas House - a home away from home for families with family members who are patients at KGH. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE |
| Hours | Director of Business Enterprises - Mon-Fri: 8:00am - 4:00pm (on call all days and hours) - Mon-Fri: 7:00am - 8:00pm (all venues open) - Sat-Sun: 8:00am - 8:00pm (Royal Bistro and Centennial Mercantile) - Sat-Sun: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Perking Lot) JoeAnna's House - 365 days a year 24 hours a day - many opportunities to volunteer (age requirement) |
| Eligibility | Ages: 15 year(s) and up All volunteers will be submitted to a criminal record check under Interior Health and KGH Foundation guidelines. Flu month(s) from the end of October to the end of April, ALL volunteers and staff are required to either have a flu shot or wear a mask during their shifts. Food Safe is offered two times per year. |
