| Service Details | - Protects consumers, encourages fair business practices, and enforces protection laws in BC - Responds to inquiries and complaints from BC consumers and businesses - Educates consumers and businesses about their rights and responsibilities - Licences specific industries and inspects these licenced industries to ensure they are complying with BC's consumer protection laws - Investigates alleged violations of consumer protection laws and follows up with progressive enforcement action - Provides film content information so the public can make informed viewing choices for themselves and their families - Recommends enhancements to BC's consumer protection laws to the provincial government |
