Description & Services
| Service Details | Free program focused on supporting immigrant, Francophone, and visible minority populations to gain meaningful employment and/or further education/training. - One-to-one skills training and employment services - ESL support, including multilingual staff and translation services - Help to obtain Foreign Credentialing - Workshops regarding Canadian Employment standards, cultural norms, tackling racism, and life skills - Job search assistance including support in writing resumes, cover letters, and applications and arranging/attending interviews - "Drop-in" services for participants to access computers and phones - Access to mental health and drug/alcohol counselling - Access to food, transportation, and help with obtaining some job-start necessities - Access to eye care through partnership with Tutt Street Optometry for those living in poverty |
| Eligibility | - A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person legally entitled to work in Canada - Unemployed or Precariously Employed; and either ----A Recent Immigrant (within 10 years of landing); and or ----A Visible Minority - Living in British Columbia - Facing barriers to employment |
