Service Details | - Provides emergency backup radio communications to the Central Okanagan Emergency Plan/Kelowna Emergency Operations Centre - Operated by Volunteer Amateur (Ham) Radio Operators registered through Emergency Management BC (EMBC) |
Eligibility | Minimum volunteer requirements: - Basic Amateur (Ham) Radio Certificate - Registration with Emergency Management BC (EMBC/PEP Radio Volunteer Card) - Local registration available (ian@platinum.net) for the EMBC/PEP Card and the CORD Emergency Plan Radio Team - For ages 16-18, a parent's signature is required |
