Description & Services

Service Details - Assists individuals through education and clinical support to manage their diabetes and reduce risk of complications 
- Programs include: Getting Started Classes, individual assessments, Staying on Track, Refresher Class, Pre-Diabetes Class, Gestational Diabetes one-to-one counselling and classes 
- Offers specific information sessions, such as weight loss, carbohydrate counting, meal planning, label reading, cholesterol, diabetes medications with pharmacist, and insulin pumps 
- Registration is required for all information sessions 
- Also offers Pediatric Clinic education program for children and youth from birth to 18 years of age and their parents 
- Referral is preferred but not required. Physician referral required if individual is beginning or adjusting their insulin intake.

Office hour: Mon-Fri, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Eligibility Individuals diagnosed with either Type 1, Type 2, Gestational, or Pre-Diabetes elevated blood sugar levels
