| Service Details | - Works to create a typical university or college experience with academic and social life for students with developmental disabilities - Students select courses based on personal interests, direct their own course of studies and select the concentration of studies in a specific field - Students do not attend separate classes, classrooms or have separate curricula |
| Eligibility | Ages: 19 year(s) and up - Eligibility is based on the individual - Having a developmental disability - Being 19 years or older and not attending other secondary or post-secondary education programs - Wanting to study at college or university, and be an active participant in other aspects of student life such as activities, sports, clubs, and employment - Willing to commit to the time required to complete their studies, which can vary from 4-5 years - Willing to meet regularly with, and be supported by, inclusion staff - Can arrange to get to and from campus without STEPS Forward staff support - Being eligible for Community Living British Columbia (CLBC) services - Eligibility is NOT based on level of physical or cognitive ability, or a minimum level of reading, math, or other skill |
