| Service Details | The Public Guardian and Trustee (PGT) provides a range of services to adults who may need help managing their personal, legal and financial affairs and do not have other decision makers available to help them. Services areas include: • Responding to referrals regarding adults who may need assistance with managing their financial legal or personal care matters; • Acting as or authorizing others to act as substitute decision maker to consent to health care decisions and/or care facility admission decisions on behalf of an adult who cannot provide informed consent; • Acting as committee of estate for adults who need help with managing their financial and legal affairs; and • Monitoring and reviewing the activities of private committees and investigating concerns as required. |
