| Service Details | - Provides sustainable gardening advice in the Southern Interior, from Osoyoos to Enderby while educating gardening public on environmentally responsible practices and sharing knowledge through advice clinics at nurseries and plant sales, or through community projects at notable public and community gardens -Sponsors Kelowna Seedy Sunday the 2nd Sunday in March. - Volunteer projects with the Guisachan Heritage Garden in Kelowna, Summerland Ornamental Garden, and Food for Thought Garden in Kelowna - Makes presentations on gardening issues, writes garden advice columns for newspapers and newsletters, is involved in horticultural therapy activities at extended care facilities and hospices, participates in and some times leads community horticultural beautification projects. -Okanagan Master Gardeners Course every 2 years in the fall. |
