Service Details - Resolves disputes between participating banking services and investment firms and their customers if they can’t solve issues on their own 
- First step is complaint to the firm, but if unsatisfied, individuals have the right to bring their case to OBSI 
- Offers independent and impartial free services to consumers as an alternative to the legal system 
- OBSI works informally and confidentially to find a fair outcome, is not a regulator, does not advocate for consumers or the industry, and does not give advice 
- If complainant is unsatisfied with findings, they are still able to go to a lawyer or seek other ways of resolving their dispute
