Description & Services
| Service Details | The Public Guardian and Trustee (PGT) works on behalf of and with children and youth to protect their legal and financial interests. Services to children and youth include: • Acting as property guardian for children and youth in care; • Managing assets held in trust for children and youth under the age of 19; • Providing post majority services for former children in care up to the age of 27, if they so choose; • Performing legal reviews to protect the interests children and youth under the age of 19; and • Administering an Educational Assistance Fund which is a bursary to help people who were in provincial care reach their educational goals. |
