| Service Details | FCSC is a registered not-for-profit fully run by volunteers, no paid staff in Ontario, BC and Canada-wide: https://www.freecounsellingcanada.ca -All psychotherapy and counselling is via video call or phone call, free of charge, by volunteers or student psychotherapists and counsellors (under Qualified Supervisors). -Each counsellor commits to provide up to 12 weekly sessions for each client (for consistency and high quality) -If a client needs more than 12 sessions, it's up to the volunteer counsellor's availability. If after 12 sessions, the volunteer counsellor wasn't able to provide additional counselling, we can reassign another counsellor to provide another set of 12 sessions of counselling. We can repeat this process for long term clients. -Our Intake Volunteers talk with potential clients over the phone as first contact. If suitable for our services, we send the client contact to our volunteer counsellors to reach out to them directly. -Services in multiple languages: Arabic, Cantonese, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Mandarin, Persian, Portugese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Urdu, Vietnamese and more -Service excursions: our counsellors DO NOT provide specialized counselling modalities such as EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, suicidal intervention, crisis case management, active psychosis management, etc. |
