Board Position - Secretary   Kelowna  Lake Country  Peachland  Westside 
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Central Okanagan Chapter
Our Chapter is currently looking for someone to take on the role of Secretary for our Chapter. 
Responsibilities: attending monthly meeting create monthly agenda record and distribute monthly minutes 
Commitment: 1-year commitment and must attend 1 meeting a month. 
No Experience necessary. We provide all the training.

Our Chapter is currently recruiting volunteers to take on Director at Large roles within our Chapter. 
 
As a Director at Large you will attend monthly board meetings and provide your input, you will provide suggestions and recommendations as a board member and join 1 committee.  
 
Approx. 2 - 4 hrs/mth

Childhood Connections – Okanagan Family and Childcare Society
Board of Directors Wanted 
 
Make a difference to children and their families by volunteering on our board. We're looking for seasoned professionals with expertise in: 
- human resources 
- law 
- fundraising 
- information technology 
 
Established in 1977, the mission of Childhood Connections – Okanagan Family and Childcare Society is to support safe, secure and healthy environments for children; to encourage quality and excellence in childcare; to provide information, services and programs that enhance the capacity of parents/guardians and childcare providers; build community partnerships to strengthen service-delivery and reduce duplication of services. 
 
If you're a team player with a passion for making a difference to children and their families and have experience in one of the above areas, we want to hear from you. Prior experience on a board is not required.

Orchard City Abbeyfield Society is the Kelowna contingent of Abbeyfield Canada, which provides affordable, small-scale, family-style residence for independent seniors. The residence is run by a volunteer board and a small staff. We are looking to recruit new board members to join a great team.

Volunteers needed for the following positions: Friendly Visitor, Computer Mentor, Event Volunteer, Coffee Break Hosts, Handyperson, Snow Removal, Board Member,and Income Tax Preparation

Join the mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, grandparents, senior citizens, students and concerned individuals who care about making our community a safer place for everyone. Our mission is to stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime.  
 
Help with our Project Red Ribbon campaign, awareness programs or fundraisers. Become a Victim Support Volunteer or work with youth in the community.

Serving Seniors   Kelowna  Lake Country  Peachland  Westside 
Abbeyfield Canada, Orchard City Abbeyfield Society (Kelowna)
Abbeyfield Housing Society offers independent living in a family-style environment for seniors. There are 21 houses across Canada 
 
Abbeyfield Kelowna has an opportunity for someone who would like to volunteer to enrich the lives of local seniors. Someone with leadership qualities and management experience is sought who is willing to join the local volunteer Abbeyfield board and in time accepts the President’s position involving chairing monthly board meetings, oversight of committees and responsibility for board succession planning. We also need a volunteer to assist board members with light maintenance - no heavy or trade-related work. Light garden work always needed as well. 
 
In addition, there is an opening for a regional Abbeyfield Canada director, who would sit on the National Board and work with the Abbeyfield houses in the BC interior area. Ozanam Recovery House is in need of new team members on our Board of Directors. 
 
We are a transition home for men struggling with addictions and our mission is to provide Home, Health and Hope. We have created a unique environment where residents can fully focus on their recovery and personal development while living in a safe and supportive community setting. 
 
We proudly work in partnership with BC Housing Corporation, the Ministry of Social Development and Interior Health to provide affordable, supportive housing and rehabilitation to those in need. 
 
Since its inception in 2008, Ozanam Recovery House has helped more than 300 men change their lives and grow into healthier citizens contributing to society.
