Workshop assistants help ensure that our volunteer facilitators and workshop participants have what they need on the day of the workshop. Duties may include preparing coffee & tea, putting out snacks, napkins, plates, general cleanup, photocopying, etc. Volunteers must be available during workshop hours - typically weekdays between 8:30am and 4:30pm.

Okanagan Symphony Orchestra
The Okanagan Symphony is always looking for volunteers to come in from time to time to assist with mail outs, archiving, filing, phone calls, distributing posters and other tasks throughout the year.
Living Positive Resource Centre
Living Positive Resource Centre is looking for Client Greeter/Harm Reduction volunteers. The Living Positive Resource Centre is a non-profit organization that provides support, education, prevention with a focus on wellness, to individuals who are living with, affected by, or at risk of HIV and other sexually transmitted and blood borne infections. 
Living Positive Resource Centre recognizes the value and dignity of each individual. We encourage and support our clients to make healthy choices, and we respect the choices that they make. We work with, and on behalf of, our clients to improve their quality of life. We believe that all individuals deserve equity in accessibility. We collaborate with community partners and actively participate in community efforts to ensure that basic human rights are protected. 
Living Positive believes that harm reduction promotes and supports the health and well-being of both individuals and communities. We believe that all humans have the right to comprehensive, non-judgmental services based on individual need. Through education and prevention efforts, we work to reduce the risk of harms to individuals and the community. 
Our Client Greeter and Harm Reduction volunteers are the first point of contact for a diverse population of individuals requiring services from Living Positive Resource Centre. This volunteer is responsible for creating a welcoming, engaging and professional environment. 
• Welcome and direct all visitors to the appropriate staff 
• Booking appointments 
• Answer telephone calls and transfer as required 
• Provide general information to clients and the public 
• Distribution of Harm-Reduction Supplies 
• General office duties as needed 
Volunteers can sign up for as many or as few shifts weekly as per the volunteer’s schedule.
