Peachland Wellness Centre
The Friendly Visitor Service provides companionship, friendship, and specialized support to seniors and adults who feel lonely, are isolated in their homes and/or are living with a mental illness. The purpose of the visits is to provide socialization and to help facilitate connection to other social groups or activities in the local community. Persons interested apply to Peachland Wellness Centre (PWC) and are provided a basic orientation plus Friendly Visitor training.
Hands in Service
Hands In Service provides basic house cleaning, laundry and simple food preparation for those in our community under the age of 65 who have health concerns or disabilities that limit these very basic activities in daily life; at no cost to the client.
In teams of 2 or more people, Blitz volunteers perform one-time cleaning assignments for clients; clearing out the clutter while restoring a sense of hope and dignity to those who desperately need it.
This is a great opportunity for families, teams, friends, youth groups, or individuals who wish to serve on an occasional basis but cannot commit to a consistent schedule.
Hands in Service
Hands In Service provides individuals, groups, businesses, and churches an opportunity to transform the life of someone in our community. Our Energetic Hands Volunteers provide ongoing cleaning and cooking support for Hands In Service clients who are unable to perform basic household tasks for themselves due to illness or disability. Volunteers cook and clean for clients on an ongoing basis, providing practical and relational support.
